I hope so. Once the PS2 finally dies off, Sony will release a major firmware update that has a software emulator.

bc was a big selling point for em last gen, now they don't care. but people like you will defend them no matter what they do

I think this whole no backwards compatibility thing is utter crap. Who, in Sony's development team, decided that removing the backwards compatibility was a good idea? And more importantly, why haven't they been shot yet?
